Manchester City and Manchester United are two of the biggest clubs in the Premier League. Their rivalry dates back years and has seen some icons play on either side of the city. But, there are some who have played for both. In this article, we take a look at five such players who have played for both Manchester clubs.

Carlos Tevez

Teves played two seasons for Manchester United before eventually making the move across the city to join the Sky Blues. He featured for them until 2013 before moving to Juventus.

Schmeichel is one of Manchester United’s greatest legends of all time and has played for one of their biggest rivals as well. He returned to Manchester and joined City at the age of 39, for just one season.

In six years with the Red Devils, Andy Cole scored 121 goals before eventually moving to Fulham. The player would then return to Manchester to join the rivals of his former club. He played one season for Manchester City and scored 10 goals.

Owen Hargreaves

Hargreaves joined Manchester United from Bayern in 2007 and spent four years with them. Thereon, he joined Manchester City and made only a few appearances for them.

Denis Law

Denis Law is Manchester United’s third-highest goalscorer of all time, and it is a surprise to many that his career started and ended with Manchester City. He scored 237 goals for the Reds before returning to his boyhood club to hang up his boots.
