The top 5 out-on-loan footballers who have made an impact in the 2021/22 season

Several loan agreements were made during the 2021-22 season. The fans were taken aback by some of the announcements. Several superstars have gone on to unexpected clubs to receive regular playing time or to resurrect their careers. Many of them are already making an impression on their new teams.

Here is the list of top 5 footballers on loan who are performing admirably for their clubs:

Matteo Guendouzi: Marseille

The Frenchman was regarded as one of Arsenal’s most promising prospects. However, he was cut from Mikel Arteta’s team owing to on-field and off-field concerns. He signed Marseille earlier this season to play more often. Since then, the midfielder has been a revelation for the French side.

Matteo Guendouzi has started all 30 league games for Marseille this season. He has contributed to the club’s second-place finish in the standings. In front of the goal, the 22-year-old has also made an impression.

In Ligue 1, the midfielder has been directly involved in 12 goals. Guendouzi, who previously played on the outside of an Arsenal team, has found a home in Marseille. The French club appears to be set on signing the midfielder at the end of the season.

Cristian Romero: Tottenham Hotspur

The Argentine defender is one of the standout loan players for his new club. He joined Spurs on a one-year deal from Atalanta at the start of the season. Spurs have the option to purchase him at the end of the season. In recent months, the centre-back has been a regular for the club and has been one of their greatest players.

Romero arrived with a strong reputation, having won the Copa America with Argentina. He was forced to sit out the first half due to an injury. He has, nevertheless, become a crucial component of Antonio Conte’s plans.

Since his return to full fitness, the 23-year-old has appeared in every league game. Spurs are in a close race for a top-four finish, and Conte will rely heavily on the defender during this time.

Brahim Diaz: AC Milan

At AC Milan, the Real Madrid loanee has surprised. This season, he has been a fixture in Stefano Pioli’s lineup. Diaz has eight goals in 34 appearances with the Rossoneri in all competitions.

AC Milan is currently in first place in Serie A. They’ve been looking for a league title since 2011. If Rossoneri are to achieve this goal, Brahim Diaz will play a key role. For the majority of the season, the forward has been in the starting lineup. After contracting COVID-19, he only missed a few games.

Phillipe Coutinho: Aston Villa

The Brazilian has thrived at Aston Villa after being an outcast at Barcelona. After a few years away, he returned to the Premier League and has dominated. For the Villans, Coutinho has appeared in 11 league games. He has assisted on seven goals this season, compared to two for the Catalans in the same number of games last season.

Coutinho joined Aston Villa in January and made an immediate impact against Manchester United, scoring and assisting on his debut. Steven Gerard’s team has benefited from the Brazilian’s presence. Villa, on the other hand, is currently going through a difficult period. They are, nevertheless, in contention for a top-half finish.

Antoine Griezmann: Atletico Madrid

Since rejoining Diego Simeone, he’s been on fire. On the final day of the summer transfer window in 2021, the footballer was loaned to Atletico Madrid. The Catalan club’s pay bill was reduced as a result of this. The Rojiblancos, on the other hand, have reaped the benefits of migration.
