Hyderabad FC: 8 wins

The Nizams are currently in second place in the ISL standings, trailing only Mumbai City FC. After eight wins in the Indian Super League, the team has enjoyed a fantastic year.

2021 got off to a good start with a 4-1 win over Chennaiyin FC. With victories over NorthEast United, Chennaiyin FC, and Kerala Blasters, as well as a series of draws, the team would have to settle for fifth place in the 2020-21 season. Hyderabad FC picked up four more wins after the start of the new season to complete the year in first place in the league.

Churchill Brothers: 10 wins

This was their 33rd year in business, and it was a good one, to say the least. The two-time I-League champions (2008-09, 2012-13) started the season with a 5-2 I-League victory over Indian Arrows.

A 3-2 win over Gokulam Kerala and a win against Guardian Angel Sports Club in the Goa Professional League are among the club’s ten victories. Churchill Brothers came in second place in India’s former premier division, a well-deserved result.

ATK Mohun Bagan: 13 wins

The Mariners had a fantastic season in the Indian Super League in 2020-21, as they reached the championships. The season began with a victory over NorthEast United. In the semi-finals, Kolkata defeated the same team for the second time, securing a spot in the final against Mumbai City.

Following the league season, ATKMB competed in the AFC Cup. The team qualified for the inter-zonal semi-finals with victories over Bengaluru FC and Maziya S&RC.

In the new ISL season, they started confidently with back-to-back wins against Kerala Blasters and SC East Bengal, but they trailed off their path soon enough. Their recent 3-2 win against NEUFC under new coach Juan Ferrando might just be the turning point for their season.

Gokulam Kerala: 13 wins

The I-League team is ranked second on this ranking. This season, the current champs had an unrivalled season. They won 4-3 against RoundGlass Punjab to start their league-winning season.

The Malabarians clinched the title with a 4-1 victory over TRAU FC in the season’s last match. A 1-0 win over Luca SC in the Kerala Premier League and two wins in the Durand Cup were among the 13 victories in 2021.

Mumbai City: 14 wins

The defending winners of the ISL, Mumbai City, are at the top of the leaderboard with the most victories. Their first win in 2021 came with a 2-0 victory over Kerala Blasters. The Islanders defeated the Mariners in last year’s final, 2-1, due to goals from Jose Arroyo and Bipin Singh.

Mumbai has entered the 2021-22 season with the same zeal, hoping to capture their second title in a row. So far in the new season, they’ve won five of their eight games, including a 5-1 thrashing of ATK Mohun Bagan.
