Barcelona take on Real Madrid in the 247th El Clasico today, and over the years, the fixture has showcased some of the legends of the game. In this article, we take a look at the highest scorers in this epic rivalry. 

5. Francisco Gento – 14 goals 

Paco Gento has most El Clasico victories, having featured for Real Madrid throughout his career. The left-winger has scored 14 goals against Barcrlona, and is a true legend of the fixture.

4. Raul – 15 goals 

Raul currently coaches the Real Madrid B team, and has one of the most iconic moments in El Clasico, silencing Camp Nou by scoring against the Blaugrana. The legendary Real Madrid striker has scored 15 goals against Madrid’s arch rivals. 

3. Cristiano Ronaldo – 18 goals 

The stark contrast in operations between Real Madrid and Barcelona

CR7 is still Real Madrid’s highest ever goalscorer, and has netted over 400 times for Los Blancos. He has scored the most goals at Camp Nou, and currently features for Manchester United after leaving Madrid for Juventus in 2018. 

2. Alfredo Di Stefano – 18 goals 

Alfredo di Stefano is an undisputed Real Madrid legend, with Los Blancos naming their training ground after the striker. Di Stefano led Madrid to five consecutive European Cups, and 14 of his goals against Barcelona came in the domestic league. 

1. Lionel Messi – 26 goals 

Messi has appeared in 45 El Clasicos for Barcelona, having featured for the Blaugrana for close to two decades. The Argentinian has scored the most number of goals at the Santiago Bernabeu, and has won 19 times against Los Blancos.
