The AC Milan legend spent most of his time as the skipper of the club, and is rightfully among the top 5 captains in football history. He led the Rossoneri to the Champions League title, as well as multiple Serie A titles. 

1. Roy Keane 

Keane was famously short tempered during his time on the pitch, and commanded the dressing room during his playing days. The Manchester United captain helped oversee one of the most successful periods in their history, while Sir Alex Ferguson was at the helm.
