Lukaku‘s spell with Manchester United was riddled with inconsistency, on the back of a move from Everton. The Belgian spent two years with the Reds before sealing a move to Inter amidst harsh criticism over his performance.

Sancho moved to Manchester United on the back of a remarkable few seasons with Borussia Dortmund. But, he has been unable to recapture his form at Old Trafford so far. And only a few years later, he is a treble winner, having played a significant part in their success. The England international has grown into Pep Guardiola’s first-choice left winger and is at the peak of his abilities right now.

Rice now holds the record for being the most expensive British player of all time, following his £105 million move to Arsenal. The midfielder captained West Ham United to the Europa Conference League title in 2023 and is now set for a big new challenge with the North London club.
