With several new high-profile arrivals in the Premier League this season, there have been several new entries in the list of the highest earning players in England. So, here is the updated top ten list of the highest weekly salaries in the Premier League.

10. Timo Werner: £272,000

Despite not scoring the goals for Chelsea, the former Leipzig man has been extremely influential for Thomas Tuchel’s game plan. He kicks off the top ten list ahead of several stars like Virgil Van Dijk and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

=8. Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante: £290,000

The French midfielder remains one of the most expensive signings of the Premier League, and at close to £300,000 is not the single best paid France midfielder in the league.

He shares the status with Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, and until recently, the defensive midfielder was Chelsea’s highest earning player.

Both Manchester City Englishmen are tied at number 6 on the list, earning a salary of £300,000 per week. Grealish recently became the most expensive English player to ever be signed due to his release clause in the contract with Aston Villa.

Sterling was one of England’s standout performers in the Euros, and has been influential for Man City over the years as well. He is in line for a new deal and could move up the list with fresh terms.

5. Romelu Lukaku: £325,000

Lukaku is not only Chelsea’s highest-paid player but is also the most expensive signing in their history. His total wage could rise by about £100,000 if bonuses are added in, which makes him the top earner by a long shot, bypassing Kante.

4. Raphael Varane: £340,000

The former Real Madrid man was signed by Manchester United for a sum around £45 million and was unveiled to a full Old Trafford prior to their victory against Leeds United in their first match of the new season. Varane will wear the number 19 shirt and will be a key player for the club this year.

3. Jadon Sancho: £350,000

A transer a year in the making, Jadon Sancho was recently unveiled as a Manchester United player and made his debut from the bench against Leeds. He has become the third highest paid player in the league right away, despite being a relatively young talent.

2. David De Gea: £375,000

Manchester United’s number 1 is the second highest paid player in the Premier League, and is the fourth player from the club to feature in this list. He recently fell out of favour, but seems to have found his form again prior to the new season.

1. Kevin De Bruyne: £400,000

After negotiating a new deal with Manchester City all by himself, Kevin De Bruyne is rather deservedly the best paid player in the Premier League. He was named the PFA Player of the Year for the last two consecutive seasons and could be in contention to win the award, alongside several others once again this season.
