The film also has a supporting star cast that includes Rajisha Vijayan and Prakash Raj. Suriya has also bankrolled the film under his production banner 2D Entertainment. Jai Bhim is a film that is created by taking inspiration from real-life events that have taken place in the 90s. The film was released on the streaming platform named Amazon Prime Video just before Diwali i.e. on 2nd November 2021.
2. Shershaah- Amazon Prime Video
Shershaah is a biographical Bollywood war film. It is directed by Vishnuvardhan, his debut film and it is written by Sandeep Shrivastava. The film follows the life of Param Vir Chakra-awardee Captain Vikram Batra from his first posting in the army to his death in the Kargil War. The film stars Sidharth Malhotra as Vikram Batra and Kiara Advani as his girlfriend Dimple Cheema. The film was produced by Dharma Productions and Kaash Entertainment.
3. Sooryavanshi- Netflix
Sooryavanshi is an action film. It is written and directed by Rohit Shetty and is produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions, and Cape of Good Films. The film is based on a screenplay by Yunus Sajawal and an original story by Shetty. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, and many more. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in extended cameo appearances have to reprise their roles of Singham and Simmba from the franchise’s previous film. It is the fourth installment of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe.
4. Master- Amazon Prime Video
Master is a Tamil action thriller film. It is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It is produced by Xavier Britto under the banner maiden production house XB Film Creators. The film stars Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, while Malavika Mohanan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das, and Gouri G.Kishan play the supporting roles. The film’s story revolves around an alcoholic professor, J. D. (Vijay), who takes a three-month teaching job in a juvenile home, unbeknownst to him. He soon clashes with a ruthless gangster named Bhavani (Vijay Sethupathi), who uses the children as the scapegoat for his criminal activities.
5. Sardar Udham- Amazon Prime Video
Sardar Udham Singh is a biographical movie about the revolutionary freedom fighter named Udham Singh best known for assassinating Michael O’Dwyer to take revenge for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar. The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Rising Sun Films in collaboration with Kino Works backed by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. The film was released on 16th October 2021 on Amazon Prime Video.
6. Mimi- Netflix
Mimi is an Indian comedy-drama-based film. It is directed by Laxman Utekar. It is based on the Marathi film Mala Aai Vhhaychy! by Samroudhhi Porey which was released in the year 2011. It is written by Rohan Shankar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock films.
It is also produced by the production company named Jio Studios. It is a story of a surrogate mother. An American couple wanted Mimi to be their surrogate mother. They offered her Rs 20 lakh and after listening to the offer she agreed to have surrogacy. It was released on Netflix on 30th July.
7. Karnan- Amazon Prime Video
Karnan is a Tamil action-drama film. It is directed by Mari Selvaraj and produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The film stars Dhanush, Lal, Yogi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, and Rajisha Vijayan. The story of the film revolves around a young man named Karnan, who lives in a small village in Tamil Nadu and is inhabited by people belonging to a lower caste. He is revolted by the inhuman treatment given to his villagers and fights for their rights.
8. Shiddat- Disney+ Hotstar
Shiddat is a romantic drama film. It is directed by Kunal Deshmukh and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan under their banners T-Series and Maddock films respectively. The film star Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina, and Diana Penty. The film’s story revolves around love-struck Jaggi can cross the seven seas for his dream girl, Kartika, even if it means stopping her wedding.
9. Drishyam 2- Amazon Prime Video
Drishyam 2 is a Malayalam drama thriller film. It is written and directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas. This film is a sequel to the film Drishyam 2. It stars Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil. The Film Drishyam 2 shows us the story that took place after six years from the events of Drishyam. The story of the film revolves around Georgekutty, a cinema hall owner, thrives in life but is a changed man.
