Amazon Prime Video has released the trailer of the sports drama film of Farhan Akhtar named Toofan. It has marked Akhtar and director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to collaborate for the second time after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
In this, we will see Farhan Akhtar playing the lead role of Aziz Ali, a thug usually known by Ajju Bhai. He also has faced brawls, bullies, and also intimidates people but eventually learns that the people are cowering in fear at his sight that does not equate to respect.
After that, the man eventually finds his passion for boxing. He was coached by Nana Prabhu; Ali becomes a very famous boxer in the athletic world. He is in love with Pooja with his romantic interest to lead an honest life. In a press release, the film was described as “ a tale of hope, faith and inner strength that has been filled by passion and perseverance.
The film is featuring with Farhan Akhtar, Mrunal Thakur, Supriya Pathak Shah, Mohan Agashe, Darshan Kumaar, Vijay Raaz, and Hussain Dalal.
Once again, we will see Akhtar appear as a ripped sportsperson on the screen and spoke about the challenges that it had to get under the character’s skin. In a statement, he said that Toofaan is a true labour of love, and no matter how one can be physically strong enough, stepping into the boxer’s shoes is an entirely new ball game. This thing has taken 8 to 9 months of rigorous training for him to enter into the skin character, making him realize how they are physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding for the actual sport.
