Marvel just gave fans exactly what they’ve been hoping for — a glimpse of **Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man** back in official MCU marketing, five years after his emotional cameo in *Spider-Man: No Way Home*.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2026, Marvel Studios’ Hall H sizzle reel quietly slipped in archival footage of Maguire’s web-slinger, and the internet immediately connected the dots to his rumored role in **Avengers: Doomsday**.

## What Happened at SDCC 2026

The reel leaned on Nick Fury’s classic line about assembling “a group of remarkable people,” blending clips of the original Avengers, the Fox-era X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and both Tom Holland’s and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. It’s the first time Maguire’s Peter Parker has featured in official MCU promotional material since 2021.

## Why It Matters for Doomsday

While Maguire isn’t on the official *Doomsday* cast list, insiders have claimed his Spider-Man could get meaningful screen time, with his universe potentially caught in the film’s incursion storyline. That would give his return real emotional stakes rather than a quick cameo.

Reports also suggest his story might not end there — a possible send-off in *Avengers: Secret Wars* would let him share the screen with legacy heroes like Wolverine and Deadpool before the Multiverse Saga wraps.
