Tottenham Hotspur have renewed Timo Werner’s loan spell, signing him for one more season on the same terms that he joined them in 23/24. The London club will have the option to make the move permanent for €15-16 million in June 2025.
The striker’s return has been made official on the club’s official social media pages. His entire salary will be covered by Tottenham, making it easy for Leipzig to sanction his return to the Premier League.

The 28-year-old had a bright start to life under Ange Postecoglou, but his momentum was halted by injuries and rotation in the starting line-up. Overall, he was able to score two goals and provide three assists in 12 Premier League games since his arrival.
Currently, Timo Werner is recovering from a thigh injury, but is expected to be fit in time for the start of preseason. And with a full month for preparation, it will be interesting to see if Ange Postecoglou can get the best out of him.
In his previous spell with Chelsea, the striker won the Champions League title in 2021, while also winning the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. He struggled to find form after his return to RB Leipzig, and now has another chance to get his career back on track under Postecoglou.
