Philippe Coutinho could be on his way out of Barcelona this summer. But, according to Diario Sport, the decision of whether or not he will leave depends on himself. The club is aware that they cannot force him to leave under the given circumstances. In other words, they cannot demand a notable fee for him.

Injuries and poor form have plagued Coutinho’s spell at Barcelona, and they still owe over €60 million for his transfer from Liverpool. But, despite that, they are holding out for offers from other clubs. Three clubs are reportedly interested in the Brazilian this summer.

The first option is a return to Inter Milan. The club want a loan deal for him with the option to purchase, and the move would be the second loan spell Coutinho has had to go out on, with the first being at Bayern Munich.

The second is a return to England, with Leicester City willing to take a gamble on the Brazilian this summer. They too, want a loan deal for him and Coutinho is open to the idea of a return to England, although, he wants his next destination to ideally be Liverpool. Given that Jurgen Klopp has a plethora of midfield talent at his disposal, that move does not seem to be realistic.

The last option is that Coutinho makes up his mind and stays at Barcelona. This will result in Ronald Koeman having to use the player, since he is quite fond of him. Currently, the player is out nursing a meniscus injury, and unless he provides some value to the team, Barcelona will be keen to get his wages off the books.
