New Delhi, January 13th, 2022, Thursday: Set to touch unprecedented growth in the year 2022, Europe’s leading consumer electronics brand Thomson rings in the first sale of the New Year 2022, with a boom!

Advancing the sale this year by nearly a week, the ongoing surge of COVID restrictions in the states and its pre-empted impact on the supply chain and deliveries has online market players tip the scale in consumer benefit by giving them an early access to the sale this year.
“Aiming to achieve our 1000 crore revenue mark, we are fully-stocked and geared with our service centers and warehouses for last-mile deliveries across the tier-II and -III towns. Since the Republic Day sales is the first sale of the calendar year and one of the peak periods for online brands; this time we envisage stricter COVID norms and partial lock-downs towards 3rd week of January as the infection rates are continuing to rise, this may consequently lead to many consumers avoiding visits to shops or malls,” explains Avneet Singh Marwah, India Brand Licensee of Thomson and CEO of largest manufacturing company, Super Plastronics Pvt. Ltd.
Thomson’s promise for the year 2022 is to continue delivering on the brand’s proposition to bring the best in technology at the most affordable prices; buoyed by the Government’s push for self-reliant India, the Indian manufacturing sector is expected to grow by 30% this year. In such a scenario the local manufacturing firm and electronic giant SPPL (Thomson’s India brand licensee company), is looking at the opportunity with optimism as it will continue to make world class technology under the aegis of its ‘Make in India’ campaign. Additionally, the company also plans to open two more factories in the next two years, where one unit will be set up in Hapur, while the other’s location will be announced in months to come. With INR 200 crore already invested the company plans on investing further 300 crores in the span of 2 years or so. The Hapur factory will be operational by the end of the first quarter this year, with the hiring of over 5,000 skilled labour in months to come.
The Republic Day Sale 2022, will have Thomson’s complete range of Android TV’s starting from the 24” segment till 75” OathPro series at its lowest best.
