Thierry Henry has resigned from his post in charge of the France youth team after winning the silver medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. The former Arsenal striker’s side ended up losing to Spain 5-3 in extra time in the final.
The 47-year-old cited personal reasons for moving on from his role. He previously managed Monaco, and Montreal Impact while also serving as the assistant to Roberto Martinez with the Belgian national team.

“I have to thank the FFF and Philippe Diallo [president of the FFF], who gave me this amazing opportunity,” Henry said. “Winning a silver medal at the Olympics for my country will remain one of the proudest achievements of my life.
“I am incredibly grateful to the Federation, the players, the staff and the supporters who allowed me to live out a magical experience.”
The FFF is looking for a new manager to take charge of their youth team for the upcoming U21 Euro 2025 Qualifiers. However, it also remains to be seen whether Henry takes a new step in his managerial career and takes charge of a senior team once again.
