Real Madrid have sent Theo Hernandez on loan to Real Sociedad for one season
The young Spanish left-back, Theo Hernandez has headed out to Real Sociedad for this season. Julen Lopetegui hopes that a campaign of consistent first-team football will help him to improve his game. Theo is currently stuck behind Marcelo in the Real Madrid line-up. But he is considered a long-term replacement of the Brazilian.
Theo Hernandez swapped one side of the Spanish capital for the other in 2017. He left Atletico Madrid for the Los Blancos for a reported € 30 million. The 20-year-old made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Champions League winners. But dislodging Marcelo at left-back proved to be a tough challenge.
Theo Hernandez has the quality to start for Real Sociedad. He will need to work hard and keep his composure. He struggled defensively for Madrid last season but his first year with Alaves was very different. So it’s now time to see who Theo really is as a player. Sergio Reguilon will be Marcelo’s backup this season.
