The 24-year-old French left-back Theo Hernandez is now growing up as one of the best left-backs in European football. The former Real Madrid youngster has now established himself as a brilliant playmaker in AC Milan.

Theo Hernandez spent in Spain during his youth career as he served for Atletico Madrid youth teams for a long time. After serving for the Atletico Madrid reserve team and Alaves, Theo made his debut for the Spanish giants Real Madrid.

After his short period in Real Madrid (including a loan tenure at Real Sociedad for one full season), Theo joined his present Italian Serie A club AC Milan in the 2019 summer. The left-back started to impress the Italian club very early.

Theo Hernandez is a crucial name in AC Milan

In his very first season in the Italian Serie A (2019/20), Theo was included in the Serie A Team of the Year. He maintained his position in the Serie A Team of the Year in the very next season too (2020/21). Theo is likely to continue his position on this special list for the ongoing season. It definitely proves his influential role for the Milan on the field.

Though Theo was counted as a failure for Real Madrid, he has played a crucial role for AC Milan to rebuild the team and move close to ending their more than a decade wait for the Serie A title. While Milan are now running in front to win the Serie A 2021/22 title, Theo is playing a vital role for this team.

The French left-back Theo, who is also comfortable as a left-midfielder, is currently playing a playmaker role for Milan.

In the ongoing European season, Theo has scored five goals and produced 10 assists for I Rossoneri. Overall, he has recorded 20 goals and 23 assists in 121 appearances for this club. While the playmaker likes to dominate the left flank, he has the following top skills in his playing character.

  • Dribbling
  • Accurate Passing
  • Aerial Duels

Theo has also maintained his calm and aggressive speedy nature in defensive skills. The fearless youngster likes to control the field and set up his team to the dominant position.

Observing the present situation, we can confidently say that Real Madrid have given up on Theo Hernandez very early. The French footballer only appeared in 23 matches for the Whites in the 2017/18 season. Meanwhile, AC Milan have identified this talent very early, and they are utilising him in the best possible way. Theo left Spain as a failure but quickly evolved as an incredible playmaker in Italy.
