Bayern Munich could pursue Theo Hernandez as a replacement for Alphonso Davies this summer, should the Canadian indeed leave for Real Madrid. His brother, Lucas Hernandez, featured for the Bavarians in the past before leaving for PSG recently. On the other hand, Theo has emerged as a talismanic figure for AC Milan after joining them in 2019.
The transfer fee would be a problem for Bayern, as Milan sees him as a massive part of their project and would not let him go for anything less than 70-100 million Euros in the summer. He has a contract until 2026 with the Rossoneri, meaning they are under no pressure to sell and have the upper hand unless the player forces a move, which seems unlikely.
Theo Hernandez a possible option for Bayern to replace Davies
Hernandez and Davies share a lot of similarities in terms of their playing style since both of them are very adept at ball carrying. Moreover, they are also attack-minded, as shown by Theo’s stats this season.
The France international has four goals and ten assists across 37 games in all competitions this season and has shown leadership, too, wearing the captain’s armband on numerous occasions. While his arrival would be a huge addition to the team, a lot will depend on who the new Bayern Munich coach is next season to make the transfer go through.
