The Wheel of Time season 2: Cast
The Wheel of Time season 2 will get most of the original main cast chronic for the next part of their adventure, excluding one major shake-up.
Moiraine Damodred (played by Rosamund Pike), Lan Mandragoran (Daniel Henney), Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski), Perrin Aybara (Marcus Rutherford), Egwene al’Vere and Nynaeve al’Meara (Zoë Robins) will also be back for another season, as you’d expect.
The significant modification comes from Mat Cauthon, the outstanding villager suspected of life, the Dragon Reborn. Although Barney Harris first represented Mat, Barney is not returning for another season (reasons for the recast have not been bare).
In The Wheel of Time’s additional outing, Mat will instead be played by Dónal Finn. Dónal has decent fantasy involvement already, as he’s already looked at two Netflix fantasy projects: The Witcher and Cursed.

By the end of the initial season, Rand and Moiraine had snuck off in exploration of The Eye of The World, where they obligated a treacherous encounter through the Dark One. After receiving assistance and using a totem from Moiraine, Rand successfully defeated the Dark One, sending him back into his prison. Despite his triumph, Rand expressed concern about the consequences of his newfound connection to the One Power, leading him to request that Moiraine inform his family that he had died. With these worries weighing on him, Rand embarked on a solo journey.
