If you’ve been waiting for a gripping Korean crime thriller to fill your watchlist this April, **The Scarecrow** just dropped its main trailer — and it’s intense. Park Hae Soo is back, and this time he’s chasing a serial killer across **30 years of twisted history**.

## What Is *The Scarecrow* About?

The show follows a detective investigating a series of murders who is forced into an unlikely partnership with a man he despises — spanning the years 1988 to 2019. Think cold cases, buried secrets, and two men who absolutely cannot stand each other — yet must work together.

## Why the Trailer Has Everyone Talking

The new main trailer hits hard from the first frame. Detective Kang Tae Joo confronts a man in prison, narrating, “I finally found you — the murderer I’ve been searching for,” before the story rewinds back to 1988 where it all began.

As the investigation drags on, the tension between the two rivals deepens — Cha Si Young coldly reminds Tae Joo, “Detective Kang, you seem to forget — I’m a prosecutor before I’m your friend,” pushing Tae Joo to erupt in fury.

But what makes this trailer special? That eerie final image — the faint smile on the silhouette of the “Scarecrow” in response to Tae Joo’s warning pushes the mystery to its absolute peak.

The show also draws thematic parallels to real [serial killer investigation psychology](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_killer), making it feel both cinematic and chillingly grounded.
