Julian Nagelsmann new Germany manager

Julian Nagelsmann has been shockingly dismissed by Bayern Munich going into the international break. The former RB Leipzig manager had a contract with the club until 2026, but was relieved of his duties immediately.

Initially, there was a lack of reasoning behind the surprising move from the Bayern board. But according to Florian Plettenberg, there are a number of reasons why the decision has been taken. One of them is the lack of sporting development in the Bundesliga and Bayern’s own squad.

This is Why Julian Nagelsmann was Dismissed by Bayern Munich

Update #Nagelsmann: All in all its not a surprise. We have reported it a lot of times. It was never a symbiosis between coach/ team. Too much theatre, lack of results. Even regular players have complained about him. Nagelsmann never had all the bosses behind him. @SkySportDE 🇩🇪 pic.twitter.com/rCEBxl7MM1

Internal reasons have been cited for the 35-year-old’s dismissal. Some of them were brought about by Nagelsmann sending the wrong signals to the higher ups at the club.

He reportedly went on a skiing trip during the international break while the other players stayed back to work. And this further signalled to the board that he needed to be replaced.

Recently, Hasan Salihamidzic lamented the mentality and the body language shown by the players during their defeat against Bayer Leverkusen. The loss left them in second place behind Borussia Dortmund. And in spite of winning all their Champions League games and being firmly on the verge of another league title, they have decided to pull the trigger on Julian Nagelsmann.

Thomas Tuchel has been appointed the new head coach of the first team. He will be facing his former side, Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker, in his very first game in charge of die Roten.
