Some nights a K-drama gives you a rollercoaster in a single sitting. That’s exactly what **The Ordinary Jackpot** did on October 6, when tvN aired episodes 7 and 8 back to back.

### The Ratings Rollercoaster

In its fourth week, the drama recorded **both its lowest and highest ratings on the same day**. Episode 7 dipped to a personal low of 3.1%, down 1.9 points from the previous week’s 5.0%. Then episode 8 bounced back to a nationwide average of **5.9%**, a new personal best.

If you’ve ever left a story at its slowest moment only to be hooked by the next chapter, you’ll understand why viewers stuck around.

### The Ordinary Jackpot: Ratings

| Drama | Channel | Episode | Nationwide Rating |

| The Ordinary Jackpot | tvN | Ep. 7 | 3.1% (personal low) |

### A New Challenger Enters: Between Steps

Meanwhile, ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama **Between Steps** has arrived with a 1.8% premiere. Ratings are only a first impression, though, and this one has plenty going for it.

It’s a romance from the late director Ahn Pan Seok, the filmmaker behind *Something in the Rain*, *One Spring Night* and *The Midnight Romance in Hagwon*. The story follows Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo), a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness. He meets Im Yoo Jin (**[Kim So Hyun](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_So-hyun)**), a graduate student searching for a new path after losing her way.

### Why This Matters?

A jump from 3.1% to 5.9% in a single night shows how much word of mouth and a strong episode can lift a drama. If momentum holds, *The Ordinary Jackpot* could keep climbing in the weeks ahead.
