### What the Trailer Reveals

The trailer follows **[Matthew Perry](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Perry)** from a young actor chasing fame to a global star who found that success couldn’t heal everything inside. One archival moment stands out, in which Perry recalls a heartfelt prayer he made before his big break. It’s funny and heartbreaking at once, and it sums up the man perfectly.

### Voices You’ll Hear

The series leans on intimate testimonies rather than tabloid headlines. Perry’s younger sister, **Mia Perry Bowick**, speaks on camera for the first time, as do his best friends of 40-plus years, **Roger Castillo** and **David Pressman**. You’ll also hear from people who shaped his career: former NBC president **Warren Littlefield**, *Friends* writer **Jeff Strauss**, actor **Kevin Pollak** and director **Jonathan Lynn**.

The series also covers his recovery journey and his advocacy for others facing addiction, which he considered part of his legacy.

### A Thoughtful Release Date

Netflix has scheduled the premiere for one day before the third anniversary of Perry’s passing. It’s a quiet, respectful choice that signals the tone of the project: a tribute rather than a spectacle.
