## Why It’s Still Pulling Crowds

Unlike broad-appeal genres, epic mythology hasn’t traditionally worked at the Indian box office — but [Matt Damon’s Odysseus](https://www.pinkvilla.com/entertainment/box-office/the-odyssey-week-4-box-office-collections-christopher-nolans-blockbuster-film-fetches-rs-19-crore-grosses-rs-208-crore-in-28-days-1404892) is riding purely on the Nolan factor. Much like [Oppenheimer](https://www.pinkvilla.com/entertainment/box-office/oppenheimer-box-office-collections-christopher-nolan-film-crosses-100-crores-nett-in-india-1233967) before it, the director has become shorthand for “must-watch cinema” among Indian audiences, turning a niche genre into a steady earner.
