The new Intel Core i9-10900K reaches 3,000 points in Cinebench R15 at 5.4 GHz

Intel has launched its new Comet Lake-S desktop CPUs last month and is hardly reached the market but it is enough to see new benchmark scores and records with these CPUs. Intel has stressed a lot with the high single-core frequency and amount these CPUs can be pushed with proper cooling.

The top-of-line Core i9-10900K is the best Intel offering for desktop and it seems it’s already started to get overclocked to 5.4 GHz. Spotted by originally on Baidu and reposted by @momomo_US, the CPU is seen running on an ASRock Phantom Gaming 4/AX motherboard coupled with 16 GB of dual-channel G.Skill DDR4-3200 RAM.

The CPU is a 10 cores and 20 threaded one with a maximum turbo clock of 5.3 GHz (Thermal Velocity Boost). The Core i9-10900K has a high TDP of 125 W and as it uses the same 14 nm architecture, it requires a good amount of cooling to push its limits with this CPU.

The Core i9-10900K processor runs at 5.4 GHz with 1.35V voltage and achieves a score of 3,002 in Cinebench R15 multi-core benchmark. The score is pretty impressive, especially if its compared with last year’s Core i9-9900K that scores around 2040 points at stock frequency.

But if its compared to AMD’s last year flagship Ryzen 9 3900X, Intel has got a worthy to be a competitor this time because it already scored around 3049 points in multi-score at stock frequency. Even if Intel is happy with its great single-core frequency and a healthy multi-core scores, AMD has some bolder plan in 2020 with Ryzen 4000 desktop CPUs.
