Recently, Argentina legend Diego Maradona died which left the whole football world devasted.

The Portugal captain also mourned for the loss of a football genius. He posted a photo with Maradona on Instagram and wrote: “Today I say goodbye to a friend and the world says goodbye to an eternal genius. One of the best ever. An unparalleled magician. He leaves too soon, but leaves a legacy without limits and a void that will never be filled. Rest in peace, ace. You will never be forgotten.”

This Instagram photo by Cristiano Ronaldo gathered over 19m likes on Instagram, making it the most liked football photo on Instagram of 2020.

The world has lost a football phenomena in 2020. Messi, Pele along with everyone paid tribute to Argentina’s World Cup winning hero. Napoli has renamed their stadium as a tribute to Diego Armando Maradona.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo will be 36 years of age in just 2 months time but he is still going strong with Juventus and Portugal. He is one of the leading scorers for Juventus during his time in Serie A and is also on the verge of breaking the record for the highest number of international goals scored by a player.

Ronaldo would hope to continue his blistering form late into his 30s or even into his early 40s as he shows no signs of stopping in the near future. He is ageing like fine wine!
