If you’re a fan of raw, witty indie TV, May just became the most exciting month on Netflix. The long-lost *Everyone Is Doing Great* is finally getting its moment — and it’s bringing both seasons with it.

## What Is *Everyone Is Doing Great* About?

The series is a sharp, relatable half-hour comedy created by, written by, and starring James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti — two actors best known as teen idols. It follows Seth and Jeremy, two former stars of a hit vampire drama called *Eternal*, now five years removed from their peak, struggling to navigate life, love, and the brutal realities of Hollywood.

Think: a love letter to anyone who peaked early and is still figuring out what comes next. It’s self-aware, funny, and genuinely touching.

*One Tree Hill* fans — yes, this is basically a reunion you didn’t know you needed.

## The “Lost Season” Story — And the Instagram Clue

Season 1 originally launched on Hulu in early 2021 after a successful crowdfunding campaign. A second season was fully shot in 2023, but the distribution landscape shifted, leaving it effectively stranded without a release date — “lost” media sitting in a vault. The first public hint came when creator James Lafferty himself dropped into an Instagram comment thread and confirmed Season 2 was finished and “coming soon.” Now we know exactly what he meant — Netflix has acquired the streaming rights and will release both seasons on May 11th, making all of Season 1 and the long-awaited Season 2 available to subscribers worldwide. Sony Pictures Television called it “raw, authentic, hilarious, and full of heart” — and honestly, that’s the pitch right there.

## Why This Is a Big Deal

This isn’t just another acquisition. A grassroots, crowdfunded passion project — built by two actors who refused to let a good story die — is now landing on one of the world’s biggest streaming platforms. That’s a genuinely feel-good origin story, and it makes the show worth rooting for before you’ve even watched a single episode.
