Part five of the web series, The Last Kingdom is going to launch on Netflix soon. The story of this series is based on The Saxon Stories by Bernard Cornwell. In this series, we will be going to see Uhtred is born a Saxon, but brought up by Danes after ambushing of his village. All the fans who are so much interested in the TV adaptation will explore the upbringing of Uhtred in the coming season.
It has set the Anglo-Saxon period and it has featured some real-life ancient figures. IN this series we will see that the homeland of Uhtred was left in the wrong hands and he takes a strong determination to win back it.
For this, he also has engaged forces with the Saxons and shared their passion for uniting England as one country. The conflict had aroused in the past as Uhtred’s loyalty had been split between the Saxons and Danes.
The books have depicted the history of Uhtred with a lot of details and viewers also started to ask that the same will have happened for the series. On Reddit one was said that he had finished the show for the second time, it had of course a great except for some parts of that one season.
Some also had wished that they showed them more about the growing up of Uhtred as a Dane. Now the fans were waiting for the books to witness badass Uhtred as a teenage boy learning to become a Dane and also wanted more details about his childhood on his young life. Earl Ragnar also had agreed to take Uhtred under his shadow after being impressed by the boy’s bravery.
As a father of Ragnar and Thyra who had become step-siblings and loved very much. This series also depicts the relationship with his step-siblings but fans have a great desire to know more about his childhood.
There is a keen chance of exploring Uhtred’s upbringing in season five as he has been worked with raising King Edward’s son named Aethelstan.
Aethelstan also has been raised by Danes and he shares this with his teacher. After seeing Uhtred gives Aethelstan insight about how to become a strong warrior and also a great leader, fans have got many similarities to how Uhtred himself was brought up.
It is assumed that season five will more focus on the young heir as he is trained in preparation for his time on the Wessex throne.
