The Immortal Ashwatthama has got delayed, starring Vicky Kaushal: “Have to choose a time that justifies making it”

The Immortal Ashwatthama is an upcoming superhero action film, starring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. The film is directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RVSP Films. Previously it was heard that by a thread for quite a while, has been put on hold.

The film named The Immortal Ashwatthama has again got delayed for few months, starring Vicky Kaushal. But the actor has not been disheartened as he believed that there will always be a better time to make the movie.

Last year in the month of October an announcement has been made by the makers that the film will go on floors in April this year. But later in the month of August, media reports stated that the film has been shelved due to budget constraints.

Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP, Aditya Dhar, and Vicky Kaushal have made their second collaboration with this film The Immortal Ashwatthama. Their first film together was the National Award-winning Uri: The Surgical Strike in 2019.

The producer Ronnie Screwvala has later said in a statement that the shooting of the film has been put on hold for another next six to nine months.

He further said that “There will be a better time to make that film. More than disheartening, it is that thing that any film should be made at the best time for that film”.

Vicky Kaushal, 33years, has said in a statement to PTI that “Every time the film is bigger than me or any individual attached to the film. So, we have to choose a time that justifies making that film. So, we are waiting for that time to come”.

The actor is now preparing for his digital release of the upcoming movie Sardar Udham. It is a biopic based on the life of revolutionary Sardar Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab in British India in 1940, to avenge the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

The film is going to be released on 16th October on Amazon Prime Video.
