## What Is The Hunting Party Actually About?

Think of it as a high-concept procedural with a very specific mission. An elite team of investigators is assembled to track down the world’s most dangerous criminals — people who escaped from a secret “black site” prison that technically wasn’t supposed to exist. It’s tense, fast-paced, and built around a genuinely compelling mystery.

The face of the show is [Melissa Roxburgh](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melissa_Roxburgh) — *Manifest* fans will recognize her instantly as Michaela Stone from the supernatural drama that Netflix famously rescued and turned into a global sensation. Here she plays Rebecca “Bex” Locke, the kind of lead character who carries an entire show on her shoulders without breaking a sweat.

Season 2 raises the stakes considerably. The 13-episode run, which started airing on NBC from January 8, 2026, digs deeper into the conspiracy behind the “Black Site” — revealing the escaped criminals weren’t random. They were pieces of a much larger, very political puzzle. Reviews are already calling Season 2 faster and more action-packed than the debut run.

## Will Season 2 Come to Netflix? Here’s the Honest Answer

Probably — but not anytime soon. Netflix holds the Season 1 license until February 15, 2027, so the show isn’t going anywhere for at least a year. As for Season 2, Netflix typically waits to see if a licensed show performs well before acquiring subsequent seasons. Given its current Top 10 momentum, there’s genuine reason for optimism — but the earliest realistic window for Season 2 on Netflix would be early 2027 at best.

Until then, Season 2 is streaming next-day on **Peacock**, available on all subscription tiers.
