It’s been a long time since the Halo TV series has been in some sort of development. During this time, we never get to see any kind of real look at the project. It looks like that changes now as a series of images featuring the Halo TV series is being captured from a short teaser trailer which was recently appeared on Reddit. The images are a little bit blurry and definitely seem to be the real deal.
So, after a long wait, what can be said about the first glimpse of the Halo TV series? Well, the show seems very similar to the games. We get to see Warthogs, a Pelican, Master Chief looking like his regular self, and more. Those hoping they wouldn’t change few things with the source material should certainly be happy. Below, you can check out the screenshots for yourself.
For those who were not following the long and twisting saga of Halo’s journey to television, the series will feature Natascha McElhone (Californication) as Cortana, Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief, along with Shabana Azmi, Bokeem Woodbine, Natasha Culzac, Kate Kennedy, and Bentley Kalu. Halo transmedia boss Kiki Wolfkill, recently has explained what they were trying to achieve with the Halo TV series…
“It’s such an interesting needle to thread with beloved characters. How do you give a different perspective on them, how do you make their journey meaningful in a different way while respecting their past journey. It’s a constant challenge — sometimes a struggle, because you have to be able to try some different things. It’s something we certainly grapple with. There’s different burdens that will go onto the Halo TV series than the game carries, so if we can navigate where we have a little bit of freedom to try and explore some different ideas or express a character differently, we try and take those.”
The Halo TV series will have its debut on the Paramount+ streaming service sometime in 2022.
