The developers of Rainbow Six Siege are teasing a big event on the consulate map. By the people seen this far, everyone is assuming this new event going to take place on 3rd August.
Ubisoft shared a teaser. That teaser is rather cryptic, with one of that just being an announcement of public service from the ‘Abidjan Metro System’. The message stated that there, “Consulate station and the surrounding areas are currently closed due to a gas leak.” This announcement looks like a generic announcement for warding off people and this situation is not involved with the gas leak.
In the past, there were some speculations about whether this could be a new map or not, but after some time it was clear that the map which is in concern is already an existing map called Consulate map. In another teaser, it seems for hinting that “there is a situation going on in the French Consulate on Ivory Coast.”
The Rainbow Six Siege game’s logo and the cover are changed for the theme of Rainbow Six Extraction. And with this change, we can assume that the new event is based on the theme of the game.
A tipster called Zer0Bytes_ on Twitter unofficially confirmed this new update where he shared a video of the corrupted map of the Consulate. This shared video looks the same as the locales in Extraction. The character of this video has the ability called Oryx’s Remah Dash but seemed corrupted.
