Nokia XR21

With its XR21 smartphone, which has the greatest IP protection against dust and water and is MIL-STD-810H military-grade, Nokia has just entered the market for rugged smartphones. The Nokia XR21 can actually survive close-range, high-pressure, and high-temperature spray downs as indicated by the “9K” at the end.

Everything about The Nokia XR21

The display will get some of the most durable Corning protection currently available with the Gorilla Glass Victus glass layer. Behind it is a 6.49-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a maximum brightness of 550 nits, and an FHD+ resolution. It also functions with wet hands and gloves.

The Snapdragon 695 SoC, which also boasts 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, is in charge and features an Adreno 619L GPU. The back of the phone has an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 64MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture. Up front is a 16MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture. Two colors—Pine Green and Midnight Black—are offered for the smartphone.

Additional features mentioned include the 3.5mm audio jack, exceptionally loud stereo speakers that can reach 96dB, and OZO Playback Water. There is also talk of a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

In terms of connectivity, it supports dual SIM cards, WiFi both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, 5G SA/NSA, and dual 4G VoLTE. The phone’s 4,800 mAh battery is capable of supporting 33W charging, but the XR21 sadly ships with Android 12 pre-installed. The good news is that Nokia has committed to 3 important Android OS upgrades as well as 4 years of monthly security updates.
