The Abandons, Kurt Sutter’s (*Sons of Anarchy*) Netflix western miniseries (7 episodes, premiered Dec 4, 2025), pits matriarchs Lena Headey (Fiona Nolan) and Gillian Anderson (Constance Van Ness) in a brutal land war over Jasper Hollow’s silver mines. Fiona leads her adopted “Abandons” orphans against Constance’s mining empire, sparking revenge, family secrets, and bloodshed in 1850s Oregon. Critics praise the leads’ chemistry but slam predictable plotting and pacing.
