## What Is Thaai Kizhavi About?

The film follows **Pavunuthayi**, a fiercely independent 70-year-old matriarch who moonlights as a ruthless moneylender in her village. She’s lived life entirely on her own terms — distant from her children, feared by the villagers. When a troubling incident forces her sons to return home, old wounds crack open and family chaos erupts. What follows is a sharp, emotional, and surprisingly funny exploration of women’s independence, generational conflict, and village life.
