Earlier in the transfer window, Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini confirmed that the attacking midfielder had asked to join Juventus. However, the two clubs were unable to come to an agreement about the transfer at the time.
Now, they have finalised the details for the move and it is set to be completed imminently. Once Teun Koopmeiners has completed his medical tests, he will officially sign a five-year contract with the Bianconeri.
The 26-year-old joins Nicolas Gonzalez and Francisco Conceicao as the new additions to the club this very week. And after being backed so strongly in the transfer market, it will be interesting to see if Thiago Motta can bring the Scudetto back to the Allianz Stadium.
