Fans of the quirky, heartwarming sci-fi romance *Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya* have a big reason to celebrate. According to an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, **Maddock Films has already begun development on the sequel**, and the cast is shaping up to be even more exciting than the first instalment.

## Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya 2 — Everything We Know So Far

## What’s the Story This Time?

The sequel is expected to pick up right where the first film left off, pushing the concept of [human-robot relationships](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human%E2%80%93robot_interaction) further into new emotional and narrative territory — but on a noticeably larger scale. Plot details are being kept tightly under wraps, which only adds to the excitement.

The biggest new development? **Janhvi Kapoor is set to join Shahid and Kriti** in a key role, making this one of Bollywood’s most talked-about upcoming ensemble casts. Insiders suggest the story will add fresh layers to the robotic world Maddock built in the original, rather than simply rehashing what worked before.

## What’s the Timeline?

The script is expected to be locked by **August 2026**, with cameras rolling in **early 2027** — but there’s a catch. A lot depends on how *Cocktail 2*, Shahid’s other major project with Maddock, performs at the box office. That result could reshape the studio’s slate and production priorities significantly.

Shahid is currently deep into filming *Farzi 2* with Raj & DK, so TBMAUJ 2 will only go on floors once his existing commitments wrap up.

## Why This Sequel Makes Perfect Sense

Maddock Films has built a reputation for backing high-concept entertainers that feel refreshing within mainstream Bollywood — and the first TBMAUJ was a perfect example of that formula working beautifully. A sequel was almost inevitable.
