Sometimes a goodbye arrives quietly, and it still hurts. On October 20, YH Entertainment announced that TEMPEST is ending its activities as a group. Here’s a clear, respectful rundown of what was confirmed.

## Where Each Member Stands of TEMPEST?

| Member | Status |
| --- | --- |
| Hyuk | Enlisting in the military on October 26 |
| Lew | Exclusive contract ends November 1, 2026 |
| Hanbin | Staying with the agency, pursuing individual activities |
| Hyeongseop | Staying with the agency, pursuing individual activities |
| Eunchan | Staying with the agency, pursuing individual activities |
| Taerae | Staying with the agency, pursuing individual activities |

## The Decision

The agency said the choice came after long, careful talks with the members. Rather than a sudden break, it was described as a considered step to focus on each member’s individual path. YH Entertainment also thanked fans for their unwavering support and apologized for any worry the unexpected news caused.

## Hyuk’s Enlistment: A Request From the Agency

Hyuk will begin his mandatory service on October 26. There will be no official event that day. Because the site will be shared with other enlistees and their families, the agency asks fans not to visit. Instead, send warm messages online so he can complete his service safely and return healthy. Learn how the system works on [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conscription_in_South_Korea).

## Lew Moves On

Lew’s exclusive contract with the agency concludes on November 1, 2026. The agency thanked him for his time with the company and asked fans to keep supporting whatever he does next.

## What Happens to the Four Remaining Members?

Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Eunchan and Taerae will keep working with YH Entertainment, which promises full support as they show new sides of themselves through solo and individual activities. The statement doesn’t list specific projects or dates, so expect announcements later.
