Tekka is an upcoming Bengali thriller movie, directed by Srijit Mukerji and produced by Dev Entertainment Ventures. Tekka is scheduled to be released for a 2024 Durga Puja release.
The movie has been generating excitement ever since the actor-director pair revealed their collaboration. Previously, they collaborated on Mukherji’s 2016 crime thriller, Zulfiqar. Tekka also features pivotal roles played by Rukmini Maitra and Swastika Mukherjee.
While the filmmakers haven’t officially confirmed details, it has been reported that the film is scheduled to commence filming in January 2024, with the cinematography handled by Modhura Palit, a recipient of the Cannes Film Festival award.
The first-look poster was revealed on 25th December 2023, on the birthday of Dev itself. It features an unidentified man pointing a gun toward a little girl with one hand while holding her hand with the other, designed inside a card in a manner reminiscent of an ace card. As of now, there is no official hint about the storyline from the makers, leaving us eagerly anticipating further updates.
