Tecno India has officially revealed on its Twitter account that they are launching a new gaming phone in India. The name of the phone is POVA by Tecno and the launch will be exclusive in Flipkart on 4th December at 12 pm. The phone was already released in Nigeria a few days back, and the phone will also be a good gaming phone for the Indian market in budget segemnt.
Tecno POVA is not a flagship gaming smartphone, rather than it is a mid-range one. This phone runs the custom HiOS 7.0 which is based on the Android 10 OS and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 SoC chipset. Regarding the display, this phone features a large 6.8-inch hole-punch display. This phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Helio G80 chipset of this phone is paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Coming to the camera section, this phone offers a quad rear camera setup at the top left corner of the rear panel which includes a 13MP F/1.85 aperture primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, a 2MP macro sensor for ultrawide, and a 0.3 MP lowlight AI sensor supported by a super quad flash. As it is a gaming smartphone, heat dissipation and charging consumption are some issues to examine in it. The rear panel of this phone is made with stylish Multilayer Graphite + Thermal Conductive Gel. This multilayer improves heat dissipation as well as reduces the temperature rise while charging. This phone comes in three different glossy gradient finishes.
In terms of battery, the Tecno POVA is fueled up by a mammoth 6000mAH Li-polymer battery with the support of 18W dual IC flash charging. That means you can enjoy your gaming without even thinking about its battery life. Regarding the dimension, this phone measures 171.2mm x 77.57mm x 9.4mm and weighs around 185 grams.
Now coming to the pricing and availability, the Tecno POVA gaming smartphone is already up for sale in the Philippines at a price tag of P6,999 ($145) via TECNO MOBILE Official Store in Shopee. In India, we can expect this phone to be priced around INR 10,000.
The smartphone has some pretty features integrated along with a solid MediaTek chipset
