Tecno appears to be taking on Samsung in the foldable smartphone market without explicitly stating it. Tecno entered the competition against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series in February with the introduction of the Phantom V Fold.
However, recent signs suggest that Tecno is now gearing up to release a flip phone as a rival to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5, which is rumoured to make its debut on July 26. The Phantom V Flip 5G from Tecno has received certification from the Bluetooth SIG authority, indicating that it could be released soon.
The Bluetooth SIG authority’s database includes the Phantom V Flip 5G with the model number AD11. The smartphone will feature Bluetooth 5.3, according to the listing. It is worth noting that the Phantom V Fold foldable phone was spotted in December 2022 before its official launch in February this year. As a result, it is possible that the Phantom V Flip 5G may launch in July or August.
