Tecno Camon 30S Pro with MediaTek Helio G100, AMOLED Display Announced

Now, the Tecno Camon 30S Pro has been silently listed on the official website of the company which means that there is another member to be added to its series with support for 4G LTE. This is the world’s first phone with MediaTek Helio G100 SoC built on a 6nm process. It supports CA2.0 which doubles the downlink data speed to 300Mbit/s and is marketed as 4.5G, while it also becomes Tecno’s first model with support for 20W wireless charging.

The Upcoming Tecno Camon 30S Pro

The Tecno Camon 30S Pro is still at an undisclosed price, but it will be available in colors such as Pearl Gold, Shim Silver Green, and Interstellar Grey. The Tecno Camon 30S Pro features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, low blue light certification from TUV Rheinland high-frequency PWM dimming tech that offers up to 2160HZ of color frequency PWM technology. Under the hood, there is a MediaTek Helio G100 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 256 storage along with an extra virtual memory of a total of up to 8 GB. It runs on HIOS custom skin-based Android 14.

When it comes to photography, the Tecno Camon 30S Pro has a main camera of 48MP Sony IMX896 and OIS with 1um pixel size. Along the back, there is an additional sensor the details of which have not been disclosed as yet.

The phone is fueled by a 5000mAh battery with 45W rapid wired charging, also 20W of wireless charging. The system is capable of using three charging modes: Hypercharge (fastest), Smart Charge, and Low Temp charge. It is also IP53-rated for water and dust resistance. For connectivity, there is 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port on the phone. The Camon 30S Pro comes in at 164.64×74.64×7.75mm, with Dolby Atmos support.

As expected, the Tecno Camon 30S Pro is a member of the existing Camon 30 lineup and shares with that model a massive 6.78-inch AMOLED display but introduces Helio G100 chipset to replace the slower Helio G99 on the Camon 30 4G. Both models feature a 5000mAh battery, but the Camon 30S Pro supports 45W fast charging compared to 70W on the Camon 30 4G. In terms of cameras, both have a 50MP rear camera, but the 30S Pro includes two additional sensors, whereas the Camon 30 4G has a single 2MP lens. Both models feature a 50MP front camera.
