The redesigned Harrier and Safari look to be undergoing testing by Tata Motors in India. The test mule vehicles have been often spotted in recent months, and now a fresh spy image reveals the backs of both SUVs. The 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari were sighted together while fully camouflaged and were captured on camera in Bengaluru.

Before coming on sale, they’re anticipated to make their premiere at the 2023 Auto Expo. Exterior and interior improvements are probably in store for the facelifted models, and ADAS-based driver assistance and safety innovations are very likely. Features like Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, and Autonomous Emergency Braking may be made available.

A larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility could also be added to the inside. More in-car connected features, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, automatic climate control, an updated instrument cluster, controls mounted on the steering wheel, a powered tailgate, powered driver and front passenger seats, a 360-degree camera, etc. could all be included in the equipment list.

New surface trimmings and materials should also be included in the package. The Tata Harrier and Safari’s exterior design for 2023 might include a new front grille, modified headlamps, Daytime Running Lights, an updated front bumper, a mildly changed rear profile, new alloy wheels, etc.

The overall dimensions, though, are probably going to stay the same. There have been rumors about an electrified Harrier for a very long time, and it may come to pass in the future. Currently, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine with a maximum power output of 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak torque powers the Harrier five-seater and the Safari three-row SUVs.

Although a six-speed automatic transmission is an option, it is mated with a six-speed manual transmission as standard. There will be no performance adjustments to the existing powerplant. On the mechanical front as well, no significant changes are anticipated.
