The Tata Curvv will be the 10th compact SUV for India It is the first coupe SUV that intends to make it mainstream in India and there has been quite a bit of excitement around this vehicle. Based on the recent ads, Tata may even reveal a new key fob design that could also be industry-first but we need to wait for confirmation.
More About Tata Curvv’s Design
Tata Curvv will introduce a fresh key design debut with the SUV Tailored for Europe Tata Motors has been following a one-key-fob-design strategy for its SUVs, with both the Nexon and Punch featuring identical key fobs. In the case of this Curvv, though, it will also boast a new rectangular key fob configuration that’s positioned vertically.
The central buttons for boot release and locking/unlocking will be complemented by silver elements that might speak to a premium finish. While the current design may be seen on smaller SUVs, this change in design could herald an upgrade for Tata’s big guns like the Harrier and Safari.
In addition, the teaser also shows off part of the crops’ climate control system. Earlier reports thought dual-zone climate control was on the cards for the Curvv and Curvv EV but we can confirm that both will feature single-zone items like in Nexon. Other inclusions in the powertrain are a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, a comprehensive level-2 ADAS suite, all-disc brakes, ventilated front seats, flush door handles, connected LED lights, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, set driver’s seat, and tailgate, electrically operated.
Powering the Curvv ICE is the new 1.2L GDI turbo petrol offering 125 PS and 225 Nm of torque, as well as the 1.5L diesel engine giving 120 PS and 260 Nm. The lower-tier petrol trims get the same tune as the Nexon. The Curvv EV can have a larger battery than the Nexon EV, with a driving range of up to 600 km.
