Tanguy Nianzou is close to joining Sevilla from Bayern Munich this summer. The 20-year-old’s time in Bavaria is seemingly at an end, with the Spanish side close to reaching an agreement for the transfer.
The centre-back is the priority for Sevilla, and the deal is set to be completed this week. They signed Marcao as the replacement for Diego Carlos, and are now going to sign a replacement for Jules Kounde as well, in the Bayern Munich defender.
Tanguy Nianzou to join Sevilla from Bayern Munich
With Lucas Hernandez, Dayot Upamecano and Matthijs De Ligt set to start regularly under Julian Nagelsmann, it will be difficult for Nianzou to get game time. As a result, he is being sold for the time being. But, Bayern Munich have included a sell-on clause and a buyback clause in the deal should he realise his potential in the coming years.
According to some sources in Germany, a fee worth €16-20 million is being discussed for the player. He was signed for free, and has since been a rotational option. But now, he is being moved on to a new club where he could start regularly.
Having secured a buyback and a sell-on clause, Bayern have pulled off an amazing deal for Tanguy Nianzou, leaving the door open for a return in the future.
