  • Nvidia cuts down the prices of its RTX 3000 GPU series in the Indian market

Nvidia cuts down the prices of its RTX 3000 GPU series in the Indian market

Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 30 series will be the latest entry in the company’s latest GPU entries. The company is trying to get its dominant position back in the GPU market with its upcoming card line-up. But the recent reports suggest that Nvidia is showing some severe customer interest with its forthcoming GPU.

The RTX 3000 cards have already seen a massive demand in their popularity, and customers are lining up outside the retail stores to purchase the graphics card. Indian fans of the company are facing new adversity relating to the prices of the new GPU.

It is common knowledge that consumers in India often encounter relatively high prices for their devices. Thanks to the increased rate of goods and service tax (GST) in the country. However, the RTX 3000 series’ release may have been too much to tolerate for the country’s consumers. Nvidia has stated that the GeForce RTX 3070 Founders Edition was priced in India at INR 51,000 or approximately $684. This price range is much higher than the actual $499 price of the graphics card.

    New Indian pricing

Similarly, the GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition was given as INR 71,000 or approximately $953 compared with $699 of its US price. But the flagship RTX 3090 Founders Edition was priced at a whopping INR 152,000, which is $2040, as opposed to its American price of $1499.

However, now the graphics maker has released a new pricing scheme for its graphics cards. The RTX 3070, RTX 3080, and RTX 3090 Founders Editions will be priced at INR 44500, INR 62000, and INR 133500. These prices are equivalent to their US counterparts and come included with Indian GST taxes.

The new prices may be more acceptable by the Indian consumers as this will allow them to build rigs using RTX 3000 series without burning their wallets.

  • Nvidia to launch RTX 3060 Ti version sooner than expected

Nvidia to launch RTX 3060 Ti version sooner than expected

NVIDIA’s new RTX 3060 Ti was confirmed recently with its full specifications, and it looks like the graphics provider is soon launching the card as well. According to sources, the RTX 3060 Ti based on GA104 will be launched on November 17.

The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti features GA104-200 GPU with 4864 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 memory, which is clocked at 14 Gbps. The bus will be 256-bits with a total bandwidth of 448 GB/s, and TBP is estimated to be around 200W, with the reference design clocking in at around 180W.

Nvidia’s biggest rival, AMD, recently launched its Navi 22 series on October 28, and that could be one reason why NVIDIA has decided to launch the Ti-based variant first. With 3080 and 3090 cards out of stock, gamers are hungry to get their hands on a next-generation GPU

The Samsung 8nm node offer yields that are lower than expected and are as expensive as hell. The company expects the yields and, therefore, pay’s prices for the wafers. And it expects that the yield will rise in the coming months. According to sources, the company has been cautious about its orders of the first few batches and has reportedly placed a significantly higher volume of orders for later batches.

Nvidia decided to launch its Ti version first means that the company is growing vary of AMD and is planning to tackle its biggest competitor. With AMD processors and graphics cards establishing their dominion in the market. Nvidia needs to deliver reliable performance and stand up to the expectations of its fanbase.

We also know that AMD is developing a new technology to tackle Nvidia in 4K gaming platforms. As to how Nvidia will respond to this remains to be seen.

  • Nvidia to launch four variants of RTX 30 GPUs for mobile

Nvidia to launch four variants of RTX 30 GPUs for mobile

Nvidia is gearing with some significant updates this year. With its already dominance in the GU market, graphics manufacturing is in the ARM company acquisition process, which will significantly boost its presence in the data centre market. We already know that the company will soon launch its RTX 3070, but now it has brought to our notice that NVIDIA will reportedly launch four variants based on its Ampere GPU architecture.

According to sources, Nvidia has already sent the specifications of it’s RTX 30 series to its OEM partners. The company claims that the new RTX 30 lineup is produced to replace the already dominant RTX 20 series. The GeForce RTX 20 series was based on its Turing GPU architecture and offered improved performance over its predecessors. We don’t know how much of a performance difference will be seen between the two lineups, but the new GeForce RTX 30 series is expected to outperform the RTX 20 lineup.

According to sources, NVIDIA will be offering four variants in its GeForce RTX 30 GPU lineup for notebooks and laptops. These include the GeForce RTX 3080, GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3060, and their subsequent Max-Q/Max-P variants.GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q will be the only variant of RTX 3080 according to sources; they also hint at a possibility that NVIDIA will utilize a GDDR6 dies rather than GDDR6X to power the GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics card.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 will also come in the Max-Q flavour only, the same as RTX 3080. However, we already know several specifications of the GeForce RTX 3070, as previously covered by us. The GPU will feature SK Hynix’s GDDR6 memory, rated at 1.2V, and offers up to 12 Gbps for notebook variants and 14 Gbps for desktop variants. The GeForce RTX 3060 will be available in Max-Q and Max-P variants.

Much details about the RTX 30 lineup are not known yet, but NVIDIA is expected to release the complete specifications real soon.

  • NVIDIA’s RTX 3070 to sport a cutdown version of GA102

NVIDIA’s RTX 3070 to sport a cutdown version of GA102

Nvidia is busy this year, attempting to enter the data center semiconductor market through its ARM acquisition. Though many tech world giants oppose this deal, it most likely seems that Nvidia’s ARM deal could see the daylight pretty soon.

Nvidia has reportedly canceled its upcoming RTX 3080 20GB, and 16GB 3070 GPU’s, but the manufacturer of the graphics is still gearing up with the launch of its forthcoming GPU the RTX 3070.

But, to much dismay of Nvidia, the new GPU’s performance is estimated to be somewhere between that of the current-gen entry-level Ampere card and the powerful RTX 3080.

According to leaker @kopite7kimi, the RTX 3070 is built using Nvidia’s GA102 GPU, which is also the same GPU used on the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. But reports claim that the graphics processor will use a cutdown version of the GA102, which is called the GA102-150. However, the card will retain the 628 mm² die size of the GA102. It can also be seen in the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, along with 28.3 billion transistors.

The cutdown version of the GA102, the GA102-150, will have 7,424 CUDA cores, that will make a complete 70% GPU utilization.

Another leaker Videocardz claims that the GPU will also sport 232 Tensor cores and 58 RT cores. The GPU will reportedly have a 320-bit memory bus and GGDR6X VRAM support. The card will most likely wear 10GB memory, as reported by the sources.

It must be remembered that this is all just leaks and rumors and should be taken with a salt pinch. The GA102-150 might not come into existence for all we know, and Nvidia would decide to go with something else to receive an edge over its competitors. However, if the leaks are correct, then the RTX 3070 will deliver satisfying performance with specifications that come under the budget.

Please keep in mind that this GA102-150 card may not come to fruition. However, @kopite7kimi has a good reputation for delivering accurate NVIDIA leaks, so we would not rule this one out yet either. Ultimately, a bridge between the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 may be a smart move by NVIDIA, considering leaked RX 6000 performance data.

  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 benchmark scores place it above the RTX 2080 Ti

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 benchmark scores place it above the RTX 2080 Ti

The world leader in graphics manufacturing Nvidia has been pretty busy this year. With its deal of Acquiring ARM moving forward, the GPU manufacturer is all set to impact the Semiconductor market. On the other hand, its graphic processors are still the most preferred choice for gamers around the globe.

We have the latest scoop on our hand because Nvidia’s upcoming GeForce RTX 3070 GPU has its benchmark details leaked. The graphics processor is set to launch next Thursday and will reportedly offer more excellent performance than the famous RTX 2080 Ti.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 will be made available for $499.

The leaked benchmark results of the RTX 3070 makes it seem like a formidable device. It offers 1080p and Ultra-Wide resolutions, and it performs better than the RTX 2080 Ti. However, compared in 4K, the RTX 3070 has poor GPU performance than the RTX 2080 Ti. The RTX 3070 falls by a sharp 2.5% compared with the RTX 2080 Ti.

At the core of the RTX 3070 graphics card is the GA104 GPU. It is one of the many Ampere GPUs that we will be getting in their gaming segment. The GA104 GPU is reportedly the second-fastest Ampere chip that Nvidia offers.

The GeForce RTX 3070 comes with a total of 46 SM units, which is a total of 5888 CUDA cores. The RTX 3070 also packs the next-generation of Ray-Tracing core. Tensor cores, and a brand-new SM or Streaming multi-processor units.

The processor also features an 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and has a speed of 14 Gbps. While featuring an uncut bus interface of 256-bit, the module delivers a cumulative bandwidth of 448 Gbps.

The alleged benchmark results make the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 a more viable option over the RTX 2080 Ti. These are all just leaks and rumours for now and must be taken with a pinch of salt. As to what will be the actual performance of the new GPU remains to be seen.

  • Jensen Huang admits the fact that Ampere GPU shortages can prevail till 2021

Jensen Huang admits the fact that Ampere GPU shortages can prevail till 2021

The graphics giant’s RTX 30-series has been well received by the fans in terms of improvements and performance. However, one thing is to be noted is that people have shown maximum outrage against NVIDIA due to its shortage in stocks for both the RTX 3090 and RTX 3080.

Now, the RTX 3070 GPU also gets delayed because NVIDIA is indeed facing GPU shortage and indeed this $499 GPU that outdoes the last year’s flagship at less than half its cost will make more buyers to go for it.

However, don’t get me wrong, but you might not get your hands-on the GPU easily because NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has publicly admitted the GPU shortages its company is facing. During a Q&A session after the GTC Digital 2020 NVIDIA CEO Huang did confirm that both GeForce RTX 3090/3080 shortages are to be expected until 2021.

New NVIDIA Ampere RTX GPUs comes with an insane performance starting at $499

I believe that demand will outstrip all of our suppliers throughout the year. Remember, we’re also going into the double-whammy, the double-whammy is the holiday season. Even before the holiday season, we were doing incredibly well, and then you add on top of it, the Ampere factor, and then you add on the Ampere holiday factor, and we’re going to have a really really big Q4 season.”

    Jensen Huang

Although he won’t directly say about RTX 3070; still the shortages and delay in launch do show that the mid-range GPU too will not be an easy cup of tea. When retailers are actually fighting over each shipment to fulfil their preorder queues, manufacturers seem to provide daily updates and apologizing for the delay in graphics card availability.

Huang described to be a result of: “there is no supply but a demand issue”, but this thing is obviously vague because they have actually rushed the launch. This is indeed because of the upcoming Xbox and PlayStation consoles accompanies by AMD’s upcoming RX 6000 series RDNA 2 based GPUs.

Only time can tell when people can buy these new RTX GPUs at right prices and with wide availability.
