Samsung Galaxy Note20 series received NFC certification
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series is rumored to launch on August 5 along with the Galaxy Z Flip 5G but has not been confirmed officially yet.

Recently two smartphones having model numbers – SM-981U and SM-986U received certification from NFC Forum. Both the smartphones with model numbers SM-981U and SM-986U are believed to be Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20+ respectively. Whereas, previously the later model number was found listed on the Bluetooth SIG’s site with a name Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. So, there is an utter confusion with the name as per now.
Recently the images shared by IceUniverse are two hard plastic cases of the Galaxy Note 20 which is confirming the flat screen of the device from the side cut designs. The cases are black and transparent in colour and have a rectangular camera cutout which also confirms the huge camera bump on the device. This vanilla version of the series is likely to have a triple-rear camera setup. The pro version is also said to come with a flat-screen.

According to GSMArena, the Galaxy Note 20 series will have 120Hz refresh screens where the Galaxy Note 20 would have FHD resolution and the Galaxy Note 20+ may come with QHD display. Both the smartphones will have a 5nm Exynos 992 chipset and the least possibility is that the Galaxy Note 20+ will feature Samsung’s 108MP sensor for its main camera.

Epic Games Store will be making its way to smartphones

Being launched back in 2018, Epic Games Store is one of the fastest-growing digital gaming markets, with its most famous eSports title Fortnite. Through it Epic Games have been making a handsome amount of money, investing them in giving deep discounts for games along with giveaways every week.

It has attracted a lot of gamers by this strategy and its recent giveaway of the GTA V actually shred its server apart, due to huge traffic. Since then, it has given away Civilization 6, Borderlands and much more games, and who knows a bigger game might be in cards for the rising Epic Games Store platform.

So, having disrupted the PC gaming department, in an recent interview with Gamespot, the CEO of Epic Games, Tim Sweeny did confess the fact they will be launching its platform for smartphones as well. Already, the company’s Fortnite game is now active on Google Play Store after a lot of confusion.

Obviously, launch its big gaming market on mobiles will benefit in bringing Fortnite and pairing it with the market, also do note that Epic Games Store’s partnership with Tencent, can ultimately expand its market. Tim went on to say a lot of things:

“We’d like to bring the [Epic Games] Store to iOS in the future, and we will bring it to Android. We think it’s a good way to help the industry [move] forward and it’s another way where Epic as a game developer had built up this audience around Fortnite and learned how to operate a distribution platform on PC and Android.”

“Now, as we’ve done with many things from the Unreal Engine to the Epic Online services, we open it up to all other developers to use with their games and are trying to serve the industry and provide a really interesting alternative to the ecosystem.”

From his words, it’s clear that Epic Games is thought to expand its market to mobile but obviously it will be hard to make revenue considering the fact most of the popular games are free to play on phones. Also, no launch date was told but considering its reputation, Epic Games shouldn’t have any trouble to bring its store to both Android and iOS.

There is no doubt that the smartphone market in India is huge. In fact, India is thought to have now overtaken the USA as the second-biggest smartphone market in the world, after China. According to a recent report from Counterpoint Research, around 158 million devices were shipped to the country in 2019.

The growth in the smartphone market means that more Indians than ever can access favourite gaming titles such as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and Clash of Clans. Online casino enthusiasts are also more likely to use a smartphone to play. The quality of the software design is such that games like roulette have complete clarity. In 2014, the total number of hours spent online gaming in India was around 2.9 billion. That may sound like a lot of hours but this number has increased to around 7 billion.

There is no sign that the appetite for online gaming in India is going to diminish. It’s also likely that many players will continue to opt for mobile gaming as their preferred option. This is due to a combination of factors including the easy access to games that a mobile device provides and the good quality of the gaming experience on mobile.

Asphalt 9 Legends: The new racing game to show your pace

Gameloft’s new racing game, Asphalt 9 Legends crosses over 4 million downloads in a week

Gameloft has always been known for its wonderful games that have amazing graphics & above all they are free to play…

The Asphalt racing series had set a gaming standard, Gameloft has always shown their class with every new version of the game. With no doubts, this time too with the 9th installation of the game, Asphalt has brought something that’s awfully freaky.

When, PUBG has captured every gamer’s attention, introducing a new eye-catching game isn’t that easy. But, it seems Gameloft knows what its gamers need…

Having launched on Android and iOS just last week, Asphalt 9: Legends has already crossed 4 Million downloads globally… India solely has downloaded it 400K+ times.

According to a press release from Gameloft, the game reached the top 5 most downloaded games on iPhone in 150 countries. This includes USA (#4), United Kingdom (#5), France (#2), Germany (#2), Italy (#2) and Japan (#1).

The average rating of the game on the Google Play Store is 4.6 stars and is number one on the list of top-grossing racing game. Asphalt 9 Legends, according to Gameloft, has been selected as the Editors’ Choice by Apple and has made quite a few times in the ‘Game of the Day’ category on app stores in India and outside.

The game is about 1.75GB on Android and 1.5GB on iOS. This is a followup to the Asphalt 8: Airborne.

Features & Improvements:

Asphalt 9: Legends comes with improved visuals, upgraded controls, more customization options… Players will also get an improved multiplayer interface and upgraded rewards for competing in multiplayer races.

The game comes with more than 50 of the “world’s best speed machines”, and you can upgrade them with in-game currency that you earn by winning races. Some of the car manufacturers to feature in the game include Ferrari, Lamborghini, W Motors, and Porsche.

Additionally, players will also be able to form or join clubs and race with up to six other players. There are also some upgrades including automatic acceleration and even automatic turning. There will be dedicated buttons for nitro and drift with gestures to assist players while driving…

As expected, there are more visual and game improvements that you can experience while playing the game. The Asphalt 9 Legends has got an average rating of 4.7 on the App Store, 4.6 on the Play Store and 4.5 on the Microsoft Store.
