He’s also the player in the tournament with the highest average. He’s followed by Mohammad Rizwan, Michael Hussey, Babar Azam, and Charitha Asalanka.
Kohli’s batting average in T20 World Cups is the highest (89.0) by any batter in the competition that comprised of minimum 10 innings. Michael Hussey, Mohammad Rizwan, and Babar Azam have an average of more than 50 in the tournament.
Virat Kohli’s runs per innings in the World Cup is 46.3, the third position taken by Kevin Pieterson with 38.67 runs per innings after Michael Hussey.
He has mustered 13 fifty-plus runs in the tournament which is the highest by any batter. Chris Gayle is next to him who has scored seven fifties and two hundred, followed by Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.

He’s now the highest run scorer in T20Is as well (3932) followed by Rohit Sharma (2811), martin Guptill (3531), and Pakistani captain Babar Azam (3239).
After beating Bangladesh in the super 12, India tops the Group B chart. The team will face Zimbabwe in their next match on November 6.
