They gave 33 runs in four overs. On the other hand, during South Africa’s batting innings, Rohit Sharma used R Ashwin to bowl. South Africa required only 25 runs off 18 balls. Ashwin dismissed Tristan Stubbs but that was a bit late.
Miller finished at unbeaten 59 off 46. Lungi Ngidi scalped four wickets that had put India in a difficult position. Suryakumar Yadav again proved himself by scoring 68 off 40 balls. It helped them reach 133/9. Bowlers like Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami kept South Africa in check. Aiden Markram mustered 52 off 41. In the end, Miller sealed the win with just two balls to spare.
South Africa’s victory relived Pakistan’s hope for the semifinals. They have to beat South Africa, and India has to lose to either Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. if South Africa gets beaten by Netherlands, their chances will be high once again.
