The Suzuki Ertiga is a choice, among buyers in India and various countries in South Asia. Recently Indonesia welcomed the arrival of the Suzuki Ertiga Cruise, which boasts updates to its design and a hybrid powertrain. Unveiled at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024 in Jakarta this enhanced version of the Ertiga comes after the launch of the India-manufactured Jimny 5 Door in Indonesia albeit at a price point than its Indian counterpart. The All New 2024 Ertiga Cruise Hybrid

PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor has launched the Ertiga Cruise in Indonesia with a price tag of IDR 288 million, for the version, which translates to approximately ₹15.3 lakh (ex-showroom) in Indian currency. The automatic variant of the Ertiga Cruise is priced at IDR 301 million ₹16 lakh (ex-showroom). While the standard Ertiga Hybrid GX offers a range of color choices the Ertiga Cruise Hybrid provides two options; Pearl White + Cool Black dual tone and Cool Black with the boasting a deeper shade.

Suzuki has designed the Ertiga Cruise to embody a feel compared to its regular counterpart with hopes that these enhancements might also be seen in future iterations of the Indian model. The Ertiga Cruise stands out with its antenna, a front bumper featuring an under spoiler side decals enhancing the body’s profile a sleek rear upper spoiler, and a sporty rear bumper, with an under spoiler. An interesting addition is the LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) a feature not found in the Ertiga model.

Under the hood, the Ertiga Cruise Hybrid, equipped with the K15B Smart Hybrid powertrain, now comes with a larger 10ah battery, potentially offering improved fuel efficiency. Powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine delivering 104 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque, the Ertiga aims to maintain its impressive mileage, exceeding 20 kmpl in India. However, whether Maruti Suzuki will implement this larger battery in the Indian lineup remains uncertain, particularly considering its current usage only in the Ciaz model. Additionally, while the sportier design updates on the Indonesia-spec Ertiga Cruise may attract attention, it is less likely to impact sales of the XL6, given the latter’s distinct appeal and positioning in the market.
