The Supercopa de Espana is a mini-knockout tournament. Four teams participate in the Spanish Super Cup – the top two teams of La Liga and the finalists of the Copa del Rey. The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have now revealed the schedule for this season’s tournament.

  • La Liga winners: Real Madrid
  • La Liga runners-up: Barcelona
  • Copa del Rey winners: Real Betis
  • Copa del Rey runners-up: Valencia

The Spanish Super Cup mini-tournament will not be held in Spain this time. Instead, like last time, it will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Real Madrid are the current winner of the Spanish Super Cup having won the final 2-0 against Athletic Bilbao last season.
